run. eat. run. eat.

Well. Met Roshan at the track last night around 8pm to do an 8x400 workout in the rain. Doing speedwork on the track is SO. HARD. I know this is going to be good for me considering I zone out big time when I do speed on the treadmill, but when I finish and see my times I want to weep. (Odd numbers were the speed, even numbers were the cooldown in between)Note: I adjusted the results in a crude fashion because Roshan did a longer warmup and I did a longer cooldown. I did one mile of each. He did 1.6 for a warmup and .80 for a cooldown. It’s funny because, when we finished I was romping around and felt FANTASTIC. Which to me says, I can clearly run the intervals faster. It’s just a matter of getting my brain to shut off, or turn on, or get to “that place” where I can just crush speedwork outside. Damn you, treadmill, for making things so easy.
After leaving the track I went home and made:-lentil salad with nayonaise, diced pickles, s+p. (there are leftover lentils so it might be time for some more meatballs!)-lavender infused green tea to put on ice today (just steeped some dried lavender in the green tea while the tea bags were steeping)-raw apple + rhubarb + ginger salad with lemon juice (SO REFRESHING)
Tonight is the night I make the sorbet I’ve spoken of time and time again. And maybe another pizza. A lentil meatball pizza? Chickpea pizza? SO MANY OPTIONS.
