run. eat. run. eat. | AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!  I went to check...

run. eat. run. eat.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
I went to check the 4th of July forecast and weather.com, and the wily beast that it is, presented a countdown until the 4th right there in bright blue blocking. (Note: weather.com also conveniently has a countdown on weekends informing you how much time you have left until Monday. No joke. WHY WOULD THEY DO THAT?) So turns out the 4th is much sooner than I thought. It feels like whenever I have a race coming up I generally operate as though it’s two months off. Even if it’s one day away. I haven’t gotten in any speed training for about a week and a half, but I feel good. I’m working late tonight, and might cram some miles in after work, but it looks like that’s about it. Maybe an easy 3 miles tomorrow. THEN THE MATTAPOISETT 5 MILER. TICK TOCK.
